The context
First founded in 1882, Kopparberg is now sold in more than 30 countries and is known for being the world’s best-selling pear cider. But when it came to launching their raspberry cider on draught for the very first time in the UK, they needed a glass good-enough steal.

The craft
Wanting to celebrate its origins, our inspiration came from ancient maps, with their myriad of markings and tactile depictions of landmarks and little known places.

We commissioned a highly sought-after artist, our very own Phil Dean, to freehand sketch the topographical detail of the town of Kopparberg and the local area, where the cider is still made today.

The glassware profile design was chosen for its ergonomic properties and ability to contain carbonation. Once the glassware was chosen, instead of relying on garish printing, the logo was deep-etched into the glass - a subtle nod to permanence and quality. To add intrigue, the location of Kopparberg printed on the glass in a unique 360 print (which had never been done before).

The end result
Delivering on an unusual brief, we created a pint glass that not only performed its function but went beyond it. This iconic piece of glassware is a worthy vessel for a fruity beverage that is steeped in history and sipped in good company.
